Snap! It’s A Wrap!

Published by at 9:55 pm under Really Useful

Having seen what “real” cameras can do, it’s going to be hard to go back to my snap happy days on the iPhone! Not to knock phone cams—I know they can make magic as well, especially if you put some thought into the process—just check out my friend Shirley’s Instagram guide (awesome pictures included):

* Take Better Instagram Photos!

I’m still hogging Ron’s camera; hope he’s not heartsick for it. Making pictures is actually pretty addictive. I’ve had so much fun this month and I’m seriously considering getting my own camera, and soon!

I’d like to thank everyone who submitted their tips and photos—I’m glad to hear some of you say that a willingness to experiment and an eye for emotion are the two things you most need to succeed. It makes the idea of photography so much more accessible for me.

In case anyone’s popping in here for the first time, here’s a recap of the photography tips that have been shared on this space:

* Adeline: One Photo: Four Views
* Adeline: Use Natural Light
* Kids & Angles
* Jayne: Look Over The Shoulder
* Jayne: A Fisheye Lens Tip
* Steph: Photographing Kids Indoors
* Justina: 5 Photo Tips
* Ron: Break The Rules

And if you want to check out the pictures that I’ve been taking, just click on “Picture This!” in my sidebar on the right.

I’m getting ready for a new theme in July, but before that, I’ve got a photo contest coming up tomorrow. Swing by to see how you can join in!

    I was inspired to take better pictures… and have been perusing the tips I read even without me realising it! No matter that I use a P & S camera – I dare say that the results show! Haha!

    A big thanks to all the photographers who have shared the tricks of the trade, and most of all to you, E, for bringing them all for us!

    Thanks Regina! I think Steph is gonna be guest blogging (somewhere else) with P&S tips, so look out for that!
