Craft: Make Eric Carle’s Very Hungry Caterpillar From Clothespins

Published by at 3:45 pm under Make

Layla and I made this pull-along toy years ago, and I thought of this again today when I was looking for a quick craft to put together to amuse Z. (Although he’ll probably take it apart in minutes!)

All you need is a collection of wooden clothespegs—attach them to any sort of string (we used twine). Next, add colour with markers or crayons, and glue on a pair of eyes when you’re done!

Cute to the max!!! Oh yes our book is in 2 pieces now, held together very gingerly by a ton of masking tape!

LOL I’m replying to this a year later–we’ve since given away our little book and kept the big one, but it’s not one of Z’s faves yet. His current fave is Sandra Boynton’s The Going To Bed Book.
